Facts and context you need to understand

  • This is 75 year occupation, not a young modern-day war. Palestine is an occupied country. Israel is an illegal occupation colonizing this country. Thus, this is not an equal-sided war between two neighboring countries as they would like you to believe, it is a decades-long struggle of the Palestinian people for freedom and liberation. Numerous reputable human rights organizations have issued reports proving that Israel is in fact an apartheid colonial regime.
  • What is referred to as the Palestinian state is in fact two totally segregated area: the West Bank and Gaza. The West Bank being entirely under military occupation where signs of apartheid are clearly evident, and Gaza under total military blockade since (2006) with no port, airport, or army.
  • Palestinians are Palestinians first and foremost, not “Arabs”. Stripping them of their unique culture and heritage is an attempt to remove their connection to the land of Palestine and justify ethnically cleansing them and forcibly displacing them into neighboring “Arab countries”. Referring to Israelis as “Jews” and Palestinians as “Arabs” further plays into the attempt to “legitimize” Israeli claims to the land and strip Palestinians of their identity, while mobilizing global “religious” support for Israelis through exploiting the holocaust and Jewish struggles inflicted by Europeans since before the Nakba of 1948.
  • Gaza consists of approximately 50% children under 18 years of age. Meaning that out of the 2.2 million population, at least 1.1 million are children who were effectively born into a siege where Israel completely controls anything and everything entering or leaving Gaza, as well as water, electricity, fuel, and aid. Children born around the time of the blockade have witnessed (6) massive aggressions, including this one, before completing their 18th birthday. There haven’t been any elections since (2006), which means at least 60% of current Gazans have not participated in any elections due to their age. Hamas only operates in Gaza, therefore it does not justify violence against and killing of Palestinians in the West Bank.
  • Gaza consists of refugees forcibly expelled from surround in cities and villages in 1948. Ask yourself, why are there refugee camps in Gaza, and how can Palestinians be refugees within their own territories?
  • The attacked kibutz are intact illegal settlements on Gazan land. Effectively making any resistance attempts against them legal under international law. It is Israel’s sole responsibility as an occupation to protect and preserve both its “citizens” in occupied territories and the people it occupies, thus putting Israel at fault where any people are injured or killed, and stripping away any right it claims of self defense.
  • The records show the severity and extent of international law violations committed by Israel since 1948, while the US continues to provide unconditional support and billions of taxpayer dollars annually.
  • It is illegal in Israel to conduct DNA testing. I will let you figure this one out on your own.
  • While Israelis are tried in civil courts, All Palestinians are subjected to military courts. Even children.
  • Minorities in Israel are discriminated against: African Jews, Arab Israelis, Druze, etc… with recorded instances where Ethiopian women, for example, were given contraceptives against their knowledge.
